Get ready, get set…
Wait?
If you’re anything like me you probably have waited to start things when it comes to your business.
Maybe you have even waited to start the actual business.
I am not talking to the hardcore procrastinators here, I am talking to those who are trying to make things perfect or who are waiting for the right time before they start.
Those individuals who might feel or say things like:
“My life is pretty busy right now so I am waiting until it slows down to start.”
“I can't start because I don't have enough experience to make a living at it.”
“Once I pay down some of my bills I’ll start.”
“I will start marketing after I start my business.”
“I’ll start when I find the right time to talk to my family about it.”
The list goes on and on. Trust me I know. I used my finances, my divorce, being a single mom and sometimes even my weight as an excuse not to start things. These excuses actually delayed me from living my life to its full potential.
Now, I do believe that if you have to push and pull something into place, then the timing might be off, but if you’re making excuses like the ones I’ve shared, you need to start before you are ready.
Starting before you're ready creates rapid transformation!
Transformation doesn't usually happen overnight, but by taking the specific actions shared below, you can certainly accelerate it.
Dump it!
Get everything out of your mind and down on a piece of paper or a device. You should spend about 15 minutes (uninterrupted) on this and of course do it as often as you need too.
Review your goals daily.
Review your goals at least twice a day. I don't believe that reviewing your goals once a day is enough to make real change, so I suggest reviewing your goals twice. Do it once at the start and then again at the end of your day. This keeps your goals fresh and you can edit them after a short period of time has passed, if needed.
Put it in your calendar.
If it's not in your calendar, then it's not going to get done. Don't believe me? Try it. I like to use Google calendar, but there certainly are many different tools out there. Use your chosen calendar to put in your goals’ completion dates and remember to review this on a daily basis too.
An action a day, keeps the excuses away.
Do one action a day on your calendar or on your dump and goal list. Always move forward on at least one thing. The size of the task does not matter. Depending on your overall wellbeing that day, you might do only one small task or several large ones. What is important is that you do something every day.
Remember, life will always have its busy moments and the most rapid way to transform your business and your life is to start before you are ready.
You will be amazed at how things flow more easily if you can let go of the excuses and the beliefs that everything has to be perfect before you start.
Go for it! Because You’re Worth It!
